Privacy Policy
← HomeThis privacy policy applies to the OpenCode Mobile Client mobile application (the "App"), an open-source community project available on Android and iOS.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Server URLs and profile names — the addresses of the OpenCode servers you choose to connect to.
- Usernames — the username used for Basic Auth when connecting to a password-protected server.
- Passwords — stored in the platform's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences).
The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, usage statistics, analytics, or device identifiers with any server or third party.
2. How We Use Information
The information stored by the App is used solely for the purpose of connecting you to your chosen OpenCode servers. No data is used for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.
3. Permissions
- Internet — required to connect to your OpenCode servers over the network.

Camera — declared for use by the embedded
WebView component (
@capgo/capacitor-inappbrowser). It is only activated when you interact with an HTML file-upload input within the WebView (e.g., attaching a photo to a prompt). The App itself never accesses the camera.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Passwords are stored in platform secure storage: iOS Keychain on Apple devices, Android EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android devices. These are encrypted at rest by the operating system.

Server profile metadata (URLs, names, usernames) is
stored via
@capacitor/preferences, the standard key-value storage for Capacitor apps. - No data leaves your device other than the network traffic generated when you connect to your chosen OpenCode server (which is encrypted if you use HTTPS).
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external dependency is the OpenCode server you explicitly configure and connect to.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Updates to this policy will be published in the GitHub repository. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
